What is RapidStart CRM?
RapidStart CRM is a simple to use, Basic CRM application, built on the Dynamics 365 platform. It is an alternative to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Enterprise Applications, that also run on the same platform. If you outgrow RapidStart CRM in the future, the process of upgrading to the Enterprise Applications is straight-forward.
The Mission of RapidStart CRM
We believe that Business Applications have become extremely powerful tools. If you are looking for that kind of power, you need to accept that there will be significant complexity. We believe that many customers today, while impressed by the power, just want an application they can easily use today. Power can be added over time.
“Rapid” is not only part of our name, it is an over-arching goal in the design of RapidStart CRM. We want you to be able to use the application with minimal training, and to be able to perform any task quickly. We want RapidStart CRM to be an enabler, not a blocker of productivity for your customer relationships. Speed is achieved through a combination of an intuitive structure, clear organization and minimizing steps. We hope you will agree, compared to other CRM applications, we have accomplished that goal.
RapidStart CRM Core
The core of RapidStart CRM are Companies and Contacts, together with the areas in which you might engage with either, or both. Companies are at the top of the hierarchy, and Contacts are typically related to Companies (but not always, see Contacts). If you look at a Company and Contact record, they are intentionally very similar. For example, you can create a new Opportunity from either one, and the Opportunity will be related to the other automatically. This behavior is similar for Cases and Projects.
What can you do with RapidStart CRM?
We have focused on the core capabilities that most customers, starting with a CRM Application for the first time, have asked for. Obviously a place to store information about the Companies you work with, and the Contacts at those companies. In addition, we have provided for Contacts that you may not being doing business with yet, we call them Prospects. One of the highest priorities of our customers is the ability to create and track Opportunities for new business. Also, many of our customers want a way to create and track Cases, for various issues that their customers may have. Another common request, is the ability to convert Opportunities that are Won, directly into Projects to perform the services, or delivery of products. Of course, at the Project level, you will want to be able to create and track Tasks that are related to performing a Project, as well as track the costs and time associated with a Project. A graphical, interactive view of a Project on a Gantt chart, makes it easy to see where you are, and make adjustments to keep on schedule. Last, but not least, our Customers want Dashboards, where they can quickly see a 360 degree view of “everything”. Did we mention, that you want to be able to do all these things quickly and easily? This is what RapidStart CRM is all about.
